Stories and Treasures of Street and Dale

Craven Museum and Gallery is embarking on an exciting venture which will change the face of the museum with thanks to the Heritage Lottery Fund.

We have received initial support from the HLF for a £1.4 million project named ‘Stories and Treasures of the Street and Dale’. The aim of the project is to improve the visitor experience by updating the facilities, making vital improvements to the museum and making our collection more accessible. It is our hope that the funding will make the museum and gallery a more innovative and fun place to visit.

This project will realise the potential of a very significant and varied heritage in the museum's collections. A far reaching and innovative programme of activities will enable local people to celebrate their heritage, and contribute directly to the displays that will populate the museum. We want the population of Craven to get involved as much as possible, so keep an eye on our website for upcoming project and activities where you can have your say.
