Beneath our Feet: aerial photography
This pack explores how archaeologists find sites using aerial photography. It also looks at how buried remains can affect plants growing on the surface and why this happens. The presentation ends with a game of finding the “hidden” archaeology site on aerial photographs.
The ‘Beneath our Feet’ packs have been designed to be used individually or as a series of lessons (in the order they appear on the website). It is recommended that the ‘Beneath our Feet- introduction’ presentation is used at the beginning of each pack if they are being used individually, or as a general introduction to the overall topic if several presentations are being used together.
