Beneath our Feet: the skeleton game

This pack looks at the reasons why archaeologists only find certain types of objects; why some things decay over time and others don’t. The game involves deciding what a specific set of objects can reveal about a person and how they lived their lives. The objects that will decay are then removed and what is left reveals a lot less information about the person; this shows how archaeologists have to piece information together.

The ‘Beneath our Feet’ packs have been designed to be used individually or as a series of lessons (in the order they appear on the website). It is recommended that the ‘Beneath our Feet- introduction’ presentation is used at the beginning of each pack if they are being used individually, or as a general introduction to the overall topic if several presentations are being used together.
