Beneath our Feet: under the microscope
This pack shows that archaeologists don’t spend all of their time digging and looking at broken objects. The main tasks is to decide what each “sample” might be and what it can reveal about people in the past. The presentation ends with a picture which builds up as each sample is identified; it reveals an image of a Roman villa.
The ‘Beneath our Feet’ packs have been designed to be used individually or as a series of lessons (in the order they appear on the website). It is recommended that the ‘Beneath our Feet- introduction’ presentation is used at the beginning of each pack if they are being used individually, or as a general introduction to the overall topic if several presentations are being used together.
